Confluence Board President Roger Gentry welcomes Colin and Tatiana at the small boat harbor when they arrive Haines.

 

From there, Libby Jacobson meets them at Picture Point—the starting point for the Portage Cove trail.

Libby Jacobson leads Colin & Tatiana down the proposed Picture Point trail that proHNS is designing and Chilkoot Indian Association will be constructing.

First stop on the Artist Studio Tour: Extreme Dreams Gallery and artists Sharon Svenson and John Svenson Mud Bay studios.

Next, they check out artist Joey Jacobson’s blacksmithing/carpentry studio — with Merrick Bochart.

The final stop on the artist tour: Debi Knight Kennedy and Gene Kennedy’s studios.

The group gathers around to look at sculptures and potential paths outside the museum.

Their first day wraps up with dinner at the Pilotlight.

May 24 – Next they meet with Ryan Barber, assistant transportation director at Chilkoot Indian Association.

Fort Seward Walking Tour with Deborah Marshall, Rainbow Glacier Adventures LLC starts at the cruise ship dock.

Colin & Tatiana give a second presentation on Wed night at Haines Borough Public Library for Assembly members & others who missed the first event.

Tatiana & Colin depart on the Fjordland for Juneau, where they will meet Lucas Chambers of proHNS at Juneau Airport to discuss design progress/detailing before flying back to the east coast. — with Roger Gentry and Alison Jacobson.
